No licence is required to cruise the rivers of Ireland, therefore anyone over the age of 18 can take command of one of Carrickcraft's cruisers. Cruising along the Shannon and Erne Waterways takes you through some of the loveliest countryside in Europe, a perfect opportunity to sample the tranquil setting of unspoilt Ireland. Carrick Craft offers an extensive fleet of 2 to 8 berth cruisers, with a choice of seven different classes, all of which are fully fitted with every facility needed to ensure cruising is made easy and enjoyable. All cruisers have a well designed fully-fitted galley facilitating easy food preparation for those wishing to self-cater. Alternatively there are many pubs and restaurants in the riverside towns and villages which make eating out an enjoyable experience.
 The main features of this Kilkenney class cruiser includes a superbly fitted galley and an upper flying deck area with dual steering and a sunbathing area. Both the forward and aft sleeping cabins have two single berths converting to a double bed if required. Each cabin has its own toilet, shower and wash-basin. There is a large and comfortable saloon, with seating converting to an additional double bed if required. The Kilkenny Class is fitted with long-range fuel tanks, which take sufficient fuel for up to three week's cruising on the Shannon and the Erne.

Details for a cruise on the Shannon River. Carrickcraft offers a choice of three dedicated Marina Bases, Carrick-on-Shannon and Banagher in Southern Ireland, and Tully Bay in Northern Ireland. Cruising holidays can begin and end from any of these ideally placed marinas. Your cruising holiday can commence on either a Saturday or Wednesday from our Carrick-on-Shannon and Banagher Marinas. Holidays starting from our Tully Bay Marina commence on a Saturday. Tariffs are normally set on a weekly basis, however short-term and weekend hires can also be arranged subject to availability. Carrickcraft offers a wide range of services to make your cruising experience more pleasurable. These include coach/minibus transfers from all main airports, grocery pre-ordering, personal on-board tuition and navigation instruction. Outboard Motors and Fishing Dinghies are also available. Ireland, located on the outer most fringes of Western Europe, is renowned for being one of Europe's premier destinations for inland cruising holidays. From Belleek at the northern tip of Lough Erne to Killaloe at the Southern end of the river Shannon, there are 300 miles of inter-connecting rivers and lakes. Navigation between the North and South of Ireland has been made possible by the re-opening of the Shannon-Erne Waterway linking two of Ireland's great rivers - The Shannon and The Erne. Carrickcraft is the only Cruiser company with Marinas in both Ireland and Northern Ireland. As holidays don't have to begin and end at the same Marina, enormous flexibility and choice is available when it comes to pre-planning one's voyage. All three Marinas are ideally located to optimise the choice and quality of cruising routes available. There is also good accessibility by road to the Marinas with free car parking facilities available for visitors. There are scheduled coaches to and from Belfast, Dublin, Knock and Shannon Airports. The timing of these coaches is arranged to connect with as many arrival and departure flights as possible.
