EuroStar SnowTrain from London to the French Alps

The ever-popular Eurostar Direct Ski Train. Eurostar's seasonal service 'Direct Ski' takes you right to the heart of the French Alps with no need to change trains in Paris. Savvy skiers catch the overnight train both ways to ensure they get an extra 2 days on the piste. Arriving early into the Alps on Saturday, you'll beat air travellers to the slopes and long shop queues if you're hiring equipment when you're there.
The night train will start running on Friday 7th January 2011 through to 1st April 2011 (last outbound journey).
Alternatively, you can travel by day and be whisked through amazing, mountainous scenery, arriving in just 7½ hours. That will give you some time to plan the best skiing routes and get excited about your adventures ahead.
The day train starts operating on Sunday 19th December 2010. It will also operate on Sunday 26th December 2010, and then every Saturday from 1st January 2011 until 9th April 2011 (last outbound journey).
The Eurostar Direct Ski train will be on sale for the 2010/2011 ski season from Tuesday 13th July 2010 for all dates of travel in the season.

Save up to 75% on overnight rail travel through France this winter with Rail Europe. Skiers and winter-sun seekers can take advantage of Rail Europe?s new special offer to get to the mountains or the beaches of southern France for less this winter. The promotion offers overnight journeys to ski destinations including Chambéry, Bourg St Maurice, Moûtiers and L'Hospitalet (for Andorra), and beach destinations including Biarritz, Nice and Monaco. One-way fares from Paris start at just £13 per person in a reclining seat, £17 per person in a 6-berth couchette or £41 in a 4-berth couchette. Seats at the special offer fares are limited, so Rail Europe advises passengers to book early to avoid disappointment. Travelling by overnight train maximises your time in your destination. For skiers, it's possible to gain an additional 2 days skiing by arriving early in the morning and leaving late on the last day of the holiday. You wake up in your destination, feeling refreshed and ready to start your holiday, rather than feeling drained after managing airport scrums and low cost flights.
There are two Eurostar Direct Ski trains that run weekly during the winter skiing of 2010 / 2011 from London St Pancras or Ashford International station direct to 3 stations in the French Alps: Moûtiers, Aime La Plagne and Bourg-St-Maurice. The overnight train service from January to April leaves the UK on a Friday night and arrives in the heart of the mountains early on a Saturday morning in time to hit the snow slopes. The High-speed Rail day service from December to April arrives in just 7 and a half hours, travelling throughout the day on a Saturday. Seats on Eurostar Direct Ski trains can be booked on-line but please note Early booking is recommended during school holidays in December as the cheapest peak ski dates book up quickly.

EUROSTAR plus a connecting TGV or OVERNIGHT TRAIN.
