| CANCELLATION or TRANSFER of BOOKING: Cancellation must be made in writing and is effective from the date received at our office. All your payments to me up to the start of the tour are used to pay deposits and final payments at all the places you stay at and for services required. If you cancel your tour only some of this will be refunded by suppliers. I will refund payments I receive, but this may take a few weeks to receive. I believe it is also reasonable for me to charge for any bank charges, printing and telephone calls made on the original booking and the cancellation request. We strongly recommend that at the time of booking, you take out holiday insurance. The policy should cover the possibility of your having to cancel or change the dates of your trip. REVIEW YOUR TRIP CANCELLATION POLICY AT THE TIME OF MAKING THE ORIGINAL BOOKING.We will presume that if you select not to take out trip cancellation insurance then you accept that you may be considerably out-of-pocket if you do cancel this trip at a later stage.

| Some of the guided tours will only operate if sufficient people have booked by a certain date. We will keep you in touch. You are advised to make sure your cancellation travel policy will cover you for any pre-paid expenses. We will do our best to find a suitable alternative, but this is not always available. |

| Booking a Holiday |
We process credit card payments through the on-line secure server of PayPal. You can securely pay by Pound Sterling, American Dollar, Australian Dollar, Euro, New Zealand Dollar, Swiss Franc, Norwegian Krone, Swedish Krona, Danish Krone, Polish Zloty, Hungarian Forint, Czech Koruna, Singapore Dollar, Japanese Yen and Hong Kong Dollar with your Visa or MasterCard for all our walking, cycling and bike tours.

When you make a booking we require a deposit of 50% of the total tour cost.
The balance must reach us 2 months before the start of the holiday; otherwise we cannot guarantee to hold your booking. Where a booking is made less than 2 months before the start day of the tour, the full amount is payable at the time of booking.
Payment for our tours can also be made by personal cheque and made payable to "Explore Britain". The check should be in your own currency UNLESS you have obtained a bankers draft. Please note. Unless we have received full payment, in sufficient time to verify the funds, your tour is NOT confirmed.
Package Tour Regulations In accordance with "The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992 Act" all monetary payments made to us for your holiday are held in a Clients Trust Account. This money is not available to Explore Britain until the completion of your holiday, your cancellation or your written authorisation before the tour completion date. |

| Upon receipt of your booking we will reply with confirmation and the trip information sheet, usually within 7 days. |

We strongly suggest taking out travel insurance at the time of booking. To be valid this must usually be made within 14 days of sending the deposit.

| Booking a holiday from Overseas |
| We accept direct bookings from overseas, or from a Travel Agent. If you wish to settle your payments in your own currency please check with us first. |

| Complaints |
| We receive very few complaints. However should you have cause for dissatisfaction while you are on holiday please tell the accommodation immediately and us as soon as possible so that we can attempt to resolve the problem quickly. |

| Included in Tour Price? |
| The tour price includes value-added tax (VAT) at 17.5% where applicable. This is not refundable, because the VAT is for a service used within the EEC. |

| On the Independent Tours: Accommodation with breakfast is included on all tours. |
|
| Overmarked walking maps. Route description package (which may be a guidebook and/or printed notes). Moving of luggage (where applicable) between overnight accommodations. |

| If you have requested and paid for it, dinner and a packed lunch will also be provided. |
|
| If you require money for public transport, which is not pre-paid, you will be advised of this on your joining instructions. |
|
| You will require pocket money for your own drinks, souvenirs and telephone calls. |

| Linking Tours |
| If you are considering taking two or more tours, it is possible to travel between most tours by public transport in a day. However we recommend that you do not attempt to journey to either ends of the country or to another country in a single day. |

| Group Tours |
| We often arrange activity tours for private parties and tour operators. Let us have details of your requirements. |

|
| Because of fire regulations please note the guesthouse accommodation we use on the Independent tours are generally limited to 4 people. |
