DESCRIPTION: Guide to the Oceanographic Museum Monaco... This guide is in English. The Aquarium occupies part of the first and all of the second underground levels. It is divided into several zones: On the east side the Mediterranean zone and nearby Atlantic Ocean, In the middle the Shark Lagoon and on the west side the tropical zone. The Ground Floor - the Salon d'Honoeur occupies the central part of the ground floor. To the right is the lecture hall and to the left the former Hall of Zoological Oceanography devoted since 1998 to temporary exhibitions. The First Floor contains since 1998 the restoration of the collection of whale skeletons and its transfer to the first floor marked the beginning of the process of upgrading the museological heritage. The Terrace and Restaurant is on the uppermost floor.
